CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR KIDS THANK YOU

I want to send a THANK YOU for all of those that contributed to our 2009 Christmas Party for Kids. It was a tremendous success as we served over 300 children and 125 families with gifts and food bags!

We had the most awesome volunteers this year! Gifts came from everywhere and monies came in to make it all possible. Big Idea Entertainment provided "Bob" and "Larry" for us and they were great! Tanya Marks, Children's Pastor from Columbia Grace Church of the Nazarene, presented the Biblical Christmas story in a most awesome way. EVERYBODY had a great time and, yes, the Jolly Ole Elf himself showed up and the kids got excited. Over 300 children came, representing 125 families. The children received great gifts and each family left with a food bag!

In preparation for the event, we had 2 corporations send us volunteers to help. I must thank Nissan Corporation and Comdata Corporation for their volunteer time in preparing for the event. They put food in ziploc bags, sorted toys, placed toys in bags, cleaned up the building, and provided toys and monies for the party. I am so thankful for thier willingness to serve. Also, a girl scout troop came and decorated the building and did a tremendous job as always. It was their third year to come and do so. Thank you, Monica and your troopers!!!

MCM is truly a blessed organization to be so honored with this opportunity to meet the needs of those less fortunate. It is a privilege to serve God by serving others! God is using this mission to present the gospel message, and at the same time, meet the needs of those destressed. Let us all to faithful to God as He continually is faithful to us! Bless His Name!

LADIES LUNCHEON 2009

Just wanted to report one of the best ladies luncheon ever! Denise Jackson hit a home run in sharing her story straight from the heart! The ladies loved her and listened intently! I firmly believe that God touched hearts and lives were changed! Misty Freeman did an outstanding job with her songs and the true message of the songs were heard! God was working the whole time. To top off the night, Joe Johnson and his jazz band did a fantastic job and sharing their music during our meal time. Oh what talent! The meal was great and the message therapists were busy! There was not a better group of volunteers ever to help at the mission! They were awesome and made my life so much easier. I truly appreciate the services of the volunteers and am so thankful for their willingness to serve. Keep praying for us as we look forward to next year's luncheon. If you would like for me to put you on my list to contact for next year's event, please send me an email to jackmcmd@aol.com or give me a call at 615-310-8463. Ladies Luncheon 2009

We are preparing for our Ladies Luncheon for May of 2009 and we are requesting a financial donation for this event. The day of the event has been set for Thursday, May 7. Our special guest speaker will be Denise Jackson, country music artist Alan Jackson's wife. The ladies attending come from domestic violence shelters, drug addiction and substance abuse centers, prison return ministries, prostitution restoration houses, low income housing, and retirement centers. It is an event where the women are treated like ladies and are given a message of encouragement and hope from our very special speaker. Our music will be provided by Misty Freeman, part of the Southern Gospel group called The Freemans. Misty has produced solo albums and travels across the country sharing her music. We will also have Joe Johnson, a renowned jazz musician, serenading the ladies as they have lunch. Also, Hi Tech Institute will have 10 massage therapists there, giving all the ladies present a relaxation massage! What a combination of entertainment, pleasure, and hope!

The cost of this event is approximately $3000 and we need your assistance. If you can make a donation, please make a check payable to Music City Mission and send the check to P.O.Box 110913, Nashville, TN 37211. Any amount you send will be tax deductible.

Thank you for your support. If you need additional information, please call Jack Myers at 615-310-8463.

Blessings,
